Hi everyone,

I've seen several threads about this topic on the forum but my question is somewhat different. I am in the process of applying for Graduate School in Barcelona and upon acceptance will apply for Advanced Parole citing educational purposes. The program would be for a year (September - June) and requires a student visa. Does anyone know if I would be able to apply for the visa at the Spanish consulate in NYC (since this is the country I reside in) or would this have to be done in my home country? Has anyone studied abroad (for more than 3 months) and applied/received their student visa in the States?

I appreciate any insight, thanks!
