Anyone had to have their social security application be electronically verified from INS /DHS? I applied Monday and guy at social security office said he had to have my EAD electronically verified and couldn't process the application right then. He said it would take 2-3 days.

I think homeland security has been slow to update their information lately. My wife who received her SSN through DACA a year ago, just received her green card over the weekend. We went to the Social Security office 2 days ago and they told us that they couldn't process her application because homeland security hadn't updated her information yet. Our lawyer suggested that we wait a week and try again.

You should wait at least one week before using your SSN. I used mined about two weeks when I applied for my current job and it went perfectly. The problem is not doing the e-verify, but the credit check if they do one.
