Undocumented Guy SUES the EMS who saved his life in a near drowning!!

This story makes me angry! This man is doing no service to undocumented in the USA by doing this. I don't like Gretchen Carlson that much; I think she's actually kind of awful. But this guy and his lawyer make me want to throw up. He gets saved by EMS who risked their lives and wants to get a huge windfall... and he does so while not even being authorized to live in this country. This is why people hate us! The video is almost dishonest in its representation of undocumented people in general, but that's not what people will see. They just see this cross-eyed looking blob trying to gold dig...! Erghhh.

People do this shit all the time. Frivolous lawsuits are as American as apple pie, so i dont see how this would give undocumented people a bad rep, when such a vast number of Americans do it regularly. This is a blackeye to the legal system and shows the negatives of human nature, but i dont see what this has to do with being undocumented or not.

Everyone jaywalks, so does that make me a terrible person, because im undocumented and i jaywalk?

I put the cart before the horse and commented on this before watching the video...after watching the video i dont see any reason why he shouldn't sue (i personally wouldn't, but he has all right to). He doesn't believe the first responders accurately assessed the situation, which caused him further bodily harm and emotional distress. U guys all want to be treated equally, yet u treat yourself like a second class citizen. Also that chick is a bitch, by giving out information given to her discreetly. She is obviously going out of her way to make this case into something it is not.

I can't believe what I am reading... the guy is right to sue? He owes his life to EMS personnel who risked their own lives rescuing him. Emotional distress? Give me a break... The guy certainly doesn't look like he's missed a meal.

He's lucky to be alive. He should be thankful to have benefited from publicly funded emergency service workers in the first place. He isn't in the country legally; he was never owed anything by these people or their services.

I'm in nursing and I would be afraid to help a guy like this..!

But what is the difference between this guy or some white trash suing? This happens everyday yet only this guy gets the spotlight since he is illegal.

I thought the same thing until after I heard what the lawyer had to say. The INCOMPETENT EMS personnel let him sit there in a flash flood stuck in a car for 2 HOURS?? They never checked if he was in there?? They deserve to lose their job in addition to the 500k he's asking for.

I personally have mixed feelings as to why people hate us. I think they whole public protests, waving foreign flags, demanding rights is one of them. I am not a fan of that. I agree that some activism is necessary but there are many other things we can improve upon as a community to help this.

I have never really thought of things the way they were said in the phrase above though ^^ Good shit.

Also, that lawyer messed up telling a FOX NEWS anchor that his client was undocumented. He should know better.

I don't see this as a case of a dreamer asserting his rights. This guy is just a random dude who speaks hardly any English who was driving a car in a flash flood situation. Being illegal he had no business driving without a license. Why would know to look for him? They probably had many more calls to respond to. He has no standing in this country to be using the court system in the first place. People like this guy make people hate dreamers.

The white trash is already a citizen and doesn't have to prove anything. This guy just reinforces the stereotype that illegals and immigrants as a whole exploit the system. Why would they want to legalize us if we are going to be a burden on the system? This happens a lot. I see a lot of immigrants becoming citizens and abusi g the system. Getting food stamps and welfare. Then there is illegal immigrants going to hospitals and not paying their bills. A lot of other countries don't even treat you until you pay the fees first. I don't understand the second class "citizens" thing either. That is the thing. We aren't even citizens. Name one country where they treat their immigrants, especially illegals ones at that exceptionally well.
