You have obviously never been to Hawaii, I live there and I can tell you that you can pretty much do anything, it's the same as everywhere else but on an island.

I've been to Hawaii a few times, moRe precisely to Maui. I'm going back again this January and I can't wait! The people r super nice, I like the food and I can actually go in the water there, not as warm as in Brazil (my home Country), my not as cold as in California. And about taxes... I don't think that the taxes over there are high,.. I guess it's because I live in a state with one of the highest taxes in the nation! I belive taxes in Maui were 4.5% and here in California is 8.5% so yea... Very high
