Grant of U-visa status comes with waivers for pretty much everything except being a nazi during WW2 and taking part in genocide, it's even one of the few things that can clear false claim of US citizenship.

If you didn't check the box for the waiver of illegal presence when you applied for U-visa then you're a moron.
