Yeah that's why I am not interested in the Platinum isn't it like $450 annual fee? I wanted a different AMEX card.

I will DM you my info. thanks

Yes. It's because your SS is new. Your credit file is extremely thin with no history at all. Not a problem. Time to get your first credit card. I strongly suggest Capital One Secured credit card. It's one of the best out there for beginners. Do not apply for a lot or cards. Just try that one for now and maintain good financial habits. GL!

YES! I also got the Thin file when I first signed up with CK. I applied for a Secured Capital One card, but was denied. I then applied for a Discover card and was approved the following day.

After 2 months, I had a Credit Score of 720 all thanks to Discover. Discover also gives you your FICO score on your monthly statement every month.

Discover has been one of the more favorable credit cards for dreamers. I've seen MANY first time dreamers get approved instantly or the following day. I would suggest Discover if the Capital One doesn't get approve, which in my case is what happened.

This is my link to Discover, if you would like you can use it to apply for the Discover It card, which will give you and I both a $50 cash back when you are approved.

Good luck. Make good financial decisions, and try not to apply everywhere if you are not approved, that will hurt your score, EVEN if you don't have a score right now. When and if you get approved try sticking to just one credit card for at least 6 months, after that you can decided whether or not to apply for a 2nd or 3rd.
