Also, yeah its kind of pathetic that some cops are like that. I feel like the cop that pulled my mom over got certain pleasure by torturing her. Telling her that CPS could take my sisters and that she could get deported for not having ID. It was a simple mistake. She kindly answered all the cops questions which was a mistake on her end, but regardless the dude could have been nicer about it.
I know she's your mom and all, but it's not the cop's fault that your mom came here illegally so let's not make the cop to be the devil and your mom an innocent flower who wasn't doing anything wrong. I've known Americans who were arrested for not having ID with them when pulled over.

I'm not going to argue that she shouldn't drive if she doesn't have a DL because she can't get one, but doing so is against the law and it's yet another choice she made to break the law and like everything else, that has consequences. On top of making the choice to come here illegally, staying here illegally, driving without having a driver's license illegally, and breaking a traffic law that made her get pulled over in the first place, she didn't even bother to have an ID with her when she had one at home.

Maybe the cop could have been nicer about it, but in his eyes, here is a woman who has absolutely no regard for any laws and so being a little pissed seems like a natural thing.
