I think all DACA beneficiaries will become permanent residents through some form of executive order by Obama by the end of his term.

i don't think executive order can extend its power that far...

It can. An EO can make us all citizens tomorrow morning if the Presidency wanted..although it's not very likely.

Technically DACA isn't an EO, but rather a directive. So he could in fact issue another directive allowing the DHS to confer us residency status. Although as I said above, I highly doubt this will happen.

I don't see us being in Deferred Action status forever. Eventually something will give way. Maybe congress will fold us into a broader Dream Act bill of some sort. A Dream Act bill may be a little easier to pass than full on immigration reform.

I think the worst case scenario is that a pro enforcement only Republican is elected. At this point, The issue isn't about what benefit you can get, but ensuring DACA is still around until the Congress actually has the cojones to fix the issue.
