common, just be glad it passed, so demanding. Most of us waited more than a decade, whats another half year.
I was under the impresion that it was an automatic process, like 24 hours or so. Correct me if im wrong, but thats what i heard during one of the debates on the CIR.

Dream act was different under the CIR compromise this Dream act is likely to take 6 months to implement due to how the regulations are interpreted by the Federal courts & most importantly DHS-ICE & DHS-USCIS.

why cant they just bring the DREAM act by itself if it's got strong supports from senators??
why does the DREAM act have to be attached to another bill as an amandment all the time?

That is a question only the Majority leader & Majority Whip can answer for sure since one sets the schedule for the Senate & the other is the sponsor for Dream act.

I can only hypothesize that the main sponsors of Dream do not want the bill to be subjected to a plethora of amendments that would drastically change the legislation, hence offering it as an amendment is probably safer.A good example of this would be if you looked at all the amendments to the Senate compromise both times it was introduced.

wouldn't we still get that piece of paper from USCIS right after the bill passes saying that we can't get deported? and i also believe you can get a driver's license with that. so it could make life a bit easier on you.... i think
