Well that sucks.

Mine was delivered on June 9th, and I got my notice that it was sent to Nebraska on June 12th.

No biometrics letter yet...uh oh...lol...

Completed my walk-in this morning. Arrived shortly before 8am only to find about 15+ people waiting for the center to open up. Decided to try my luck anyways since I made the drive. Security guard didn't mention anything about the date. Neither, did the "receptionist" who verified my info and gave me a waiting number.

Most likely got lucky since it was packed they were rushing and not really paying attention to the details. Also, make sure you bring your passport or EAD. I just originally presented my DL, but was asked for a second form of ID. Not sure why since it states a state ID/DL is sufficient.

^ Damn really? Thank God they accepted my DL as a form of ID cuz that would've been a long drive back home to go pick it up :0

Well, went in this morning.. Mad traffic, got there just before 8:10am. Already a lot of people were inside with their wiring numbers. They saw that my sister and I were walk-ins, so they made us write our names down on a clipboard'd paper titled Walk-Ins. So they took us in, and I had gotten my waiting ticket by 8:25. I had exactly 20 people to go till my number. And I had only one hour because I had to get to for work by 10 (25 mom drive). My number was called EXACTLY an hour later 9:25! everything worked out for the best

I went this morning as a walk-in, and completed the biometrics. I only had my driver's license and was given a hard time. You have to bring your EAD or passport as a form of ID. The letter does state a DL is sufficient but they do not think it is good enough. It is a federal place so you need to bring proof of your status.

Also, they do not check the appointment time. I bought it up to them since I had proof that I was not able to make it for the appointment.

Chatsworth took walk-ins when I did mine in 2012. The place wasn't crowded at all; I remember going in during the early afternoon after class. Nobody asked any questions.

I just got back from doing my biometrics. I got the notice for an appointment yesterday and it was scheduled for next week. I went their office in Wheaton, MD and asked if I could do it today since my original appointment conflicts with something else. The place was pretty empty. There were maybe three other people there. I was sent to talk to someone at the front. The guy was extremely rude and asked to see my notice and my passport. I gave him my passport, he was going through it looking for something. He asked how I came here since there is no stamp of port of entry on my passport. I told him that it's in my old passport which expired. He asked which visa, so I said B2. And then he asked very loudly and gruffly "Visitor? So you overstayed, and you're here illegally."

I just found that terribly demeaning that he had to ask. He knew exactly what I821D is for and there was no reason to ask for that information, but I didn't wanna get on his bad side and have him tell me that I can't do it.

He let me do it. It was pretty quick.

Wow what a jerk. Some of those employees should be fired. Here in the Chicago south side location, the employees are overly lazy, and do not even bother to read the letter. They just scan the bar code, and allow you to proceed.

Yeah. I guess it all depends on who you get. At least you completed the biometrics though. All that matters. I wonder who pissed in his corn flakes this morning.

I also got back from doing my biometrics at Norridge, IL. I arrived around 2:20pm. No questions asked, no hassle. I showed the receptionist my DL. She asked whether the name is same on the passport and I said yes, but she didn't need to see the passport.

I waited about 15 minutes before my number was called. If you are doing a walk-in, it may be better to go in the afternoon. When I first applied for DACA, my appointment was in the morning. It was packed and I waited 30 minutes or so.

My hands were dry and the ridges in my fingerprints didn't show well. I hope FBI doesn't reject those fingerprints. The person taking my fingerprints told me it's good to apply hand cream a week before taking fingerprints. So people who are waiting for biometrics letter, apply good hand lotion/cream while you wait.

So I've been thinking about someone's comment on walk-ins, how the people who are doing walk-ins are cutting in front of other DREAMERs. I see the point. For my initial app, I waited for my appointment date.
But am I cutting in line? What if those appointment dates are for our "convenience"? Many of us are ready to go take the fingerprints as soon as we get the letter, but some may be on a tight schedule and may need to adjust their schedules. Perhaps that's why they give us 2-3 weeks to "wait" until our appointment date. So it may be more of trouble if you cannot make it to the appointment and show up later than that, but not much of an issue if you show up early.
If the ASC was busy or I was told to come back, I was willing to come back on my appointment date. The receptionist didn't say/ask anything.

This moral issue bothers me a bit, but in conclusion, I was allowed to do walk-in.
