Help!!

Had the most stressful day today. I'll try to make this short. I applied to a community college a while back and never actually attended classes. Today, I went to re-register so I can take a class before I start nursing school at another college. It turns out when I added my social, the faculty member entered it wrong. Now, they're saying that they aren't accepting my social security card because it says "work authorization only" on it. She is saying that I'm not allowed to use it for school. So I am unable to change it to the correct number.

What do you guys think? Have you had this problem??? I have attended other colleges with my social and never ran into this problem. I spent 2 hours dealing with this woman. She forced me to re-apply using the INCORRECT social they had entered. I told her that would be fraudulent but said that was the only way she would help me.

You might want to be VERY Very careful with this... I am now 25K in debt because of this same situation! I would just listen to whatever the person at Admission tells you... I wish i could go back and reconsider that decision...my life is miserable now and i really want to finish school but can't.

What exactly happened in your situation? I'll edit my post because it didn't make much sense.

I tried, but she kept cutting me off and saying nobody else could help me but her. I finally got her to give me her managers contact info.

Can you please share how this 25k debt happen?
