Got 2 jobs. First paid 80k and the second and current is above 100k.
Proposed to my gf, did walk-in biometrics again recently and I'm hoping I get approved soon!

I put my current income as income and my total assets. Which isn't much. Less than 30k.

Also yeah I thought myself everything. We're living in an interesting age .. Valuable info is freely available online

Sure thing, inbox me if you want to learn more on how to get into the field.

The key to my success honestly started with NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and other self help books. They all thought me how to get into a positive mind set even though I was going through tough stuff that I know you can relate to.

All in all while going through my struggles I always thought to myself, "you will be successful". As I got more into computers it eventually became a passion and an escape.

Computer wise the following is the order I personally learned everything I know today:

1. I started learning c++ and wrote a few small programs
2. I got into google hacking; the art of finding anything you're curious about using google.
3. I decided hacking was cool and wanted to attain the skills of the elite hacker.
4. I got into unix, which introduced me to many languages such as perl, bash, python.. Because I dabbled in c++ early on every other language was easy to pick up.
5. Friends referred to me as a computer expert when anyone asked them which lead to a small company asking me to build there website for a few hundred bucks.
6. I used my google hacking skills to get the latest info on building websites.
7. I put together a website utilizing html, css, JavaScript for the front end and php and MySql for the back end.
8. I got paid for something I thought myself on the fly.
9. I realized the low hanging fruit of web development and started digging more into it to the point where I was finding more and more people that needed websites that wanted to pay me.
10. Daca came around, I put together a résumé based on a template I found online... I simply put any project I had worked on that was publicly visible.
11. I started getting phone calls based on my résumé.
12. I started studying anything they asked me about that I didn't know.
13. I got to the point where I was getting pass phone interviews and going in for in person interviews.
14. I used my nlp techniques and positive mind set to turn the interviews into game and I had a lot of fun in all my interviews to the point where they started making offers.

.... Hope that wasnt too much info. Just know that mindset is the key to success and you will achieve it!
