Almost denied for walk in biometrics

My biometrics date is 7/18 but I went in 7/3 for a walk in. I went to the Dallas center. Right as I got to the desk I said good afternoon, smiled and gave my paper. The person at the desk immediately mentioned that my date was not here yet and that I should really wait for my appointment date. I rattled off a one liner saying it's really tough for me to get off work, and I am willing to hang around till later if I need to. She then proceeded to say that since it wasn't a busy day that they could take me. God lined up a few things for me, because I ended up going later than I planned to go.

I was kinda scared especially since I heard that others were turned down at this center. Fortunately it was only a 30 min drive and I had taken the day off.

After I filled out the paper I was out in less than 30 minutes.

Same thing happened to me at the El Monte one here in California. I walked in and the lady said i it wasn't my day, she then sat me down on a waiting list and i have to talk to the main guy. he was really cool and i explained to him how i had finals on the day of my appointment he said i could show up next Friday and i said that was fine. he then looked at the people sitting down and told me he can probably get me in.

wow crazy not showing up on your appointment date, and almost not being allowed to come in! Man must have been really scary....

Just follow the rules and wait.

If u could get the day off for a walk in why cant u get the day off for ur actual app day. Just wait and make plans for ur app date ppl.

Usually those people that work there will always give you a hard time about something but at the end they will give you what you need. It's called tough love.
