This has the potential to be big.

Alot of us are thinking it safe and expecting some categories of undocumented groups here and there will get something, but it could really be big...who knows.

Nevertheless, I think the following may happen:

1) DACA with no age cap
2) DACA Parents
3) Possible military enlistment opportunity with strict requirements
4) Maybe, possibly, parents of USC or GC holders - Even though this one makes the most sense, I say maybe because the amount of people it would benefit is so huge...so I am not sure how far Obama will go
5) And a farfetched maybe, possibly, a broad DACA for anyone - This could rival the USC/GC parent group population

But then the top question is how far will Obama really go?

I will be pissed of irresponsible people begin having kids in the USA hoping for #4. I actually hope that #4 won't happen.

FWIW, all of Obama's EO's will probably have date cutoffs around the time he announces everything, so that won't work, unless a tremendous amount of people started doing that in the past 6-12 months, if that isn't the normal rate already, lol.

There might even be a clause where your child would have had to been born before 2010 or something for example.

That brings me to another point, all of this EO talk is exciting and all...but we have yet to see what proofs will be required for anyone eligible for relief.

There could be one asking for proof of every year you were in the U.S., ridiculous penalty fees (to make it seem less rewarding), etc.

And then how bad will the backlog end up if you have millions of people sending in applications, unless there is a big rise in USCIC job openings, which would be great for many people looking for employment.

Same proof as DACA. If you've lived here for 10 years, surely you have something.

How about unmarried son or daughter of permanent residents? hahaha.
My older sister became a USC through marriage and she sponsored my parents.
Now I am the only undocumented.
Please open the door for us to join the military although it is not my preferred method to earn the citizenship. Because I am 30 now.

Sort of the same thing as me. In 2005 a USC sibling sponsored my parents and in about 8 months they got their green cards. Not easy or cheap mind you, but of course, me being old, I was out of luck so I was petitioned for and have a priority date of Dec. 2005. That was 8 1/2 years ago and they have just now reached January 2002! So it still has 4 years to go and it's moving at the rate of one week per month so it could take another 16 years! There was a time that it was moving 3 months for every month but then they retrogressed it by 2 years. F4 is not a fun catagory.

We've got DACA. That's honestly the best he can do for us, with the possible exception of extending how long DACA lasts before we need to get it renewed. At this point its about our parents, not us.
This is what I'd love to see! If we could become eligible for work sponsorship (permanent residency pathway) it would be amazing!

I hope he extends DACA to adults (or spouses of USC). I was five days too old to qualify for DACA. It is going to be heart breaking if his next executive action excludes me yet again.
