When did you get your SSN? Do you have a job ? How many times have you tried applying for a card ?

I received my SSN in June, I do have a job. a really good job infact. been there 2yrs. I have applied quite a few times. I understand that wasn't good for my "credit" so I stopped.

Believe it or not, when I checked my credit report I saw one account there that did not belong to me.

You can contact the credit agencies:
Experian is one of them.

You're going to have to fill out a form telling them about your problem.
(I recommend calling them first)
You can also try CreditKarma.com to see if there are any "active" accounts linked to your SSN, this will give you a better idea of what's going on (The website uses Experian)

Anyhow, it seems like there might be a problem since I had "No Credit" for a whole month when I received my SSN.

Yes, I applied for a "College Student Credit Card" with benefits for it, but was denied. Then I attempted it 8 months later, and still got denied. Then I reapplied, again. (This was a branch of a bank that was near a the University I attend, so they probably don't deal with this often.)

I went to a different branch, which is well more organized, where I have applied and obtained my debit cards numerous times before. I then asked what my options were for me and I chose the secured card (I brought all my documents). The lady was very nice and easy to talk to, although she had to talk to the manager, first to make sure.

A couple days later she was nice enough to call and said that I got approved, and it would be in the mail shortly. So I received it in the mail, and began building credit. I may have to raise the limit, for it's only $300 (I initially put $300 in the secured credit card).

The strange thing is my sister applied for her credit card when she got her DACA approval and documents and she was able to get a student credit card/normal credit card (Not secured, as in you have to put down money to set your limit).

I don't know how that works, but it just did. Best of luck to you!
