For those approved, did you put a high income? I' ve been nervous about this because we had to prove "economic necessity"

I put in my actual income (50k annual). I'm pretty sure they realize that you need to support yourself and others. I put that in the explanation on lines below. They won't deny you just because you have a higher income.

The whole point of getting a work permit is so that you can make an income legally. You won't raise any eyebrows. It's better to be honest, so don't fear and put your real income.

Got approved yesterday! Just checked my status at Uscis.gov

And with it being less than four weeks away from my expiration date all I can say is FINALLY! I was set to expire 9/16 and I got a notice yesterday from my job saying they would fire me if I didn't have an updated work visa. So as you can imagine, I was really stressing out these past few days.

On August 18, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.
