Hey guys,

Got a question. Do you think after this current renewal, we will still able to renew in 2016 when it expires? As you know, the House tried to stop DACA few weeks back but after the election, I'm wondering what the future will be. I know Obama will done with his presidency January 2017 so he won't dismantle it on his own but wondering what are the chances the both chambers of congress will do. If the Republicans take over the Senate after this election, is there a legitimate chance of DACA ending?

That's the million dollar question . I would hope that reform does happen ,my wish would be at least immigration reform should pass by 2016. I'm sure.somebody will use somebody and daca will survive .

Romney initialy said he would get rid of it then said he would honor it and not remove it.

Even if we knew the president would remove it ( since the president is the only person who can even if both the house and Senate decide to vote it out the president can veto their proposal)

What are we to do? the best most of us can do is fix our status through marriage.
What we should be doing is getting ready in case DACA end. Do what you need to do in case DACA ends tomorrow. Many people like to lie to themselves thinking DACA will never end and how it will probably turn into a tps like status, but the reality is we dont know. We'd have to learn about potential future presidency candidates now. Keep up with their thoughts on immigration.

My question is if the Republicans take over the Senate this upcoming election, what are the realistic chances that DACA will end?

While Obama is in office he promised to veto any kind of Bill like that... he still has that authority. So we're good while Obama is in office .

And do you guys think if DACA does end, our work authorization will be ineligible immediately or we just won't able to renew?

They could possibly give us the rest of the term, then after that bon voyage.

I think were safe until Obama is in office on DACA side. According to lawyer they may end advance parole loop hole some time in near future if republicans to get both senate and house, so if you are waiting to fix your entry need to do it soon as possible.

that's what i'm thinking.

Maybe i'll just marry someone and get citizenship that way (i came through visitor visa and applied for green card once so i'm at least eligible in that way)

I think Hillary is going to win the presidency anyways. Jeb Bush is the best chance Republicans honestly have and he wouldn't stop DACA imo. Rand Paul isn't a moderate by any stretch and no way Ted Cruz gets the Republican nomination.
