yeah I recommend anyone who entered with out inspection to apply for advance parole to get rid of that EWI. Trying to adjust with a EWI makes it hard and difficult.

They may end DACA if there is a Repub president but I think we'll be grandfathered. I don't think they'll remove us 4 years after the program was initiated. I hope they will pass some kind of comprehensive reform but if you can adjust your status then use these two years to do it.

if DACA ends, all it means we go back to how started with out DACA, that is it. it doesnt mean USCIS will give our info to ICE for deportation. Believe it or not, most usa agencies to not share info among each other

Enlighten me how the AP thing works. It only fixes EWI, right? If you came here legally and overstayed, coming back with AP does nothing for you with respect to adjusting status even if there's an approved I-130 for you?

AP just allows people to exit the country legally. That is it. It does NOT help you adjust or anything itself but if you entered EWI and later want to adjust through another method, everytime you enter the country, I94 gets done or something like that saying you entered with inspection. Basically your original EWI gets change to enter with inspection as the first time you entered here

If you overstayed your visa, you can use advance parole to avoid the 10 year bar for unlawful presence. Then, if you're an immediate relative of a US citizen, you'll be able to adjust status or do consular processing abroad after your I-130 gets approved.

Here's a good explanation:

Simple answer. Yes if there is no reform till then. The announcement will come around same time in 2016 since Obama will still be in Office. The question is will we be able to renew in 2018? The answer is Yes if a Democrat is still President and No if a Republican. I don't see Republicans taking the Senate any time soon, so in that regards we are safe. Time is on our side. Were about to be granted EADs for third and fourth years. Is it really realistic for them to "take them away?"

Save as much of the money you're making now with DACA. You never know what's going to happen.
That being said, take a couple vacations, too, while you can
