You can never please everyone. For the initial DACA most of us complained that our SSN were labeled with " Valid for work only with DHS Authorization" and now we hear about people complaining because they lost 1 month of EAD. A week ago everyone was worried that they weren't going to have the renewal on time. Be thankful people. Count your blessings! SMH!!!

Conditionally labeling our SS card is policy which there is nothing we can do about. Whether they decide to not renew our DACA is also policy. Short changing us on renewal expiration date due to their operational error is an entirely different story and if you had searched the net you will see that USCIS have been doing this since inception. People have called in before and were told that it was their mistake.

You might not think this is a big deal now because you are overwhelmed with joy but this is gonna hurt in 2016 when your EAD expires in aug when it should expire in sept or oct.

Exactly.

If you lost a month on your EAD, call them. Remember quite a few people got EADs that were valid for a year? They could have been thankful for that year and been screwed later on.

If we bring it to their attention now, it will save other DREAMers down the line the hassle of dealing with the loss on their EADs. If mine comes short, I will be calling them about it.

Has anyone else gotten this when checking their app status? I've been checking every week and not paying attention since it always says Initial Review, but apparently my address was changed? (I moved apartments since when I first applied). I hope this doesn't delay things too much, my EAD expires in Oct.

1. Did you report your address change since the original DACA; or
2. did you put your new address on the renewal application; or
3. your new address came up during I-821D background investigation.

Please provide more details on what you have or haven't disclosed to the USCIS so we can diagnose the problem.

About a year after I got my DACA, I moved, so I put down my current address on the renewal application. I didn't report an address change anywhere else though (I probably should've for my DL, but the addresses are so similar, only the apartment number changed).

Updating ur address on your DL isn't that important. U can do that when renewing.
You should've reported an address change with USCIS when you moved. USCIS requires you to inform them within 10 days of your move. But it's okay it shouldn't be that big of a deal. I guess they probably just looked at your renewal and saw a different address than they were expecting by looking at your file, Because there had been no address changes from you. But I think it should be okay, maybe delay your case a bit but shouldn't affect it much. Let's hope it all goes well.

As long as you apply, thats all that matters. Even if you had let your current ead expire you would still have 1 year to renew.
