If you're in California we have the Ca dream act. Fill out the application online every year January - March. You must fill it out during that window even if you haven't filed your taxes to have a better chance. They will ask for other stuff like you GPA and stuff like that so make sure you don't lose your login and password.

Even though I called several times in May/June, they did not inform me of this until late July. I had to resend some paperwork and scan my id/ss for them. So, long story short, I was not able to transfer. I am really sad about it, but I am also worried about not being able to transfer again next year. I cannot afford to pay the full tuition, so I hope I am able to get some scholarships so I don't have to rely on the Cal Grants. Good luck to you all! I will be applying to CSUF, too, so I hope they get that issue fixed. Let us know what happens, jahmdream! Btw, how do you like it there?
Took me a while to respond, but, I was waiting on information. Still waiting though. I still haven't resolved it as the few people I asked weren't sure. I will be going back to the financial aid office this coming Monday. I am quite nervous and feel pretty dumb to leave it to a Cal Dream act grant to fund my school only. Should have applied for scholarships.

I really like CSUF for my mayor. Its kind of hard to get into the college life when you have to work as well. I hate not getting the full college experience but hey I am about getting an education now. Its not a huge school, but, there are plenty of things to do make the experience better. Also, so far I have only gotten one bad professor (only know about my department, though). Its a quality education.

I guess I'll wait to see what happens. I can only cry for now, jk. Anyone have a couple thousand dollar to spare ?
