Did you ask for a temp EAD?

That's crazy considering that your initial application took just over a month to be approved. I wonder what the hold up is.

I'm afraid that I'll be in your position in a couple of months.

I'm in a similar situation one week behind you. Expiring 10-02-2014 and both my cases are still showing "Initial Review". They received it 06-10-14 and I did my biometrics 06-30-14, so over 100 days.

I really have no idea what my options are. I went to the ASC and they said they can't help; I called the helpline many times and no one could help, just telling me to wait. I just scheduled an InfoPass meeting for this friday in hopes of getting some help regarding an interim EAD. My new job starts next Monday and I'm sure they won't let me work if my EAD expires 3 days after my start date...

Please keep us updated, OP, and hopefully we'll all be resolved in time.

I want to know what happened to the people that didn't get approved on time. Do you think they got an interim EAD automatically?

also, I remember someone mentioning that when they spoke to different USCIS agents, they told him to present their expired EAD and their receipt number for renewal to keep working. I wonder what that's all about.

It's strange how those who cried about their expiring EADs simply disappeared from these forums once their dates have passed. I sincerely hope that they got their approvals on time after all but didn't deem it necessary enough to keep us in the loop.

I haven't posted an update because 1. I haven't heard anything and 2. What else can I say? I still haven't been approved.

If I hear back anything GOOD or BAD I'll let you know. If I don't hear anything, then obviously I won't post anything. Don't get all riled up there...

I saw a post in which the person claims that the status never updated and he/she received the EAD. I am not sure if true.

I wasn't referring to you seeing that you still haven't expired and are still posting here.
