I dont know about you but I have no problem packing my bags and go elsewhere where my qualifications will be appreciated! And okay, lets say we are at their mercy, im only holding them accountable for what they PUT IN PRINT ON THEIR GOVERNMENT WEBSITE! I dont know about you, but my dignity isnt something I put a freakin time period of 2 years of to hold high! and lets see what the implication of being expired for "a few days" mean: getting kicked out of the job thats currently sustaining your life, and sign up for this kind of routine every 2 years? Why shouldnt these illegals be mad? You cant relate because you dont have options at the moment and I totally understand, but please dont be so bitter and undermine other people's circumstances. I see you have a masters degree? Why don't you go take that somewhere where you dont have to compromise your dignity..
You can turn this around me, but I'm not the one complaining. If you have seen any of my other posts, I have been clear that I have nowhere else to go. I'm not too proud to say that I'm standing in a pile of shit and would love to have the same DACA rope thrown in to save me. Some of you DACA people don't understand how deep of shit you were standing in and sinking and think that just because you've been pulled out of the shit-pond, that you smell like roses, but you're still covered in it and you're not going to get to do everything you feel you deserve to do on the account of not being in the pond anymore.

Unlike me however, you sound like a macho and prideful guy pounding your chest about how you demand service. It seems like the US government has really disrespected you and since you're so prideful and are not begging anybody, one would wonder why are you here? Go back to your home country and see how efficient their governmental agencies work.

The reality is your situation right now is a minor inconvenience. WORST case is you'll have to take a week or two off of work and do side-jobs. If you're really hurting for money, go stand in a Home Depot parking lot with your fellow illegals and cry to them about how hard it is that you had a work permit for 2 years and will get the renewal a couple of weeks later. See how understanding they are.

Hello everyone,

My work permit expires tomorrow. The company for which I work is ver extrict on e-verifying and all that good stuff. HR depatment has been asking me for an updated card for almost four weeks now. On Monday I was given a "friendly ultimatum" if I am not able to provide HR with an updated card my employement will have to be terminated. After various calls and getting the same answer "your I-821 is approved but we cant do anything for you at this point you have to wait for your I 797 to be approved" So I called USCI yesterday yet again and after requesting to speak to a supervisor and being on hold for a while I was told to schedule an appoitment with a local immigration office. I was told that a temporary and provitional letter of extension for my Work permit could be granted at a local office.
What do you guys think? Are they really giving out extensions? Needless to say that I really need to keep my job

Sure I will do that with my "fellow illegals" but wait a minute aren't you one too? oh and by the way, the statement "i have nowhere else to go" is invalid. Everyone has options. I do nd so do you. I dont what third world country you think I belong to but the system is pretty efficient back there too which is why I told you id rather go than put up with this every 2 years. Why do I have to compromise my way of living and stand in home Depot for some beauracratic inefficiency??? This is America mate! If you dont get your way you make so much noise that you eventually get it...hence im making noise because I Can! No one just has to put up with shit bc ur illegal or not.

Trust me, my options are to get married or wait the many more years it will take for a family petition to kick in. I'd jump in a river before I go back to my third world country and I mean that. You (and others who are complaining about DACA) have either never truly experienced what illegals deal with or you have lost touch. Digging a few ditches and talking with them will open your eyes more.

That's incorrect. The ones complaining clearly remember what it's like and im sure he don't want to go back to that, just like I don't that's why we are "complaining"

I say, what do you have to lose in scheduling an appointment? Others haven't had luck with an EAD extension, but I would give it a shot since your I-821D was approved already.

Would you like to go back to what you were 2 years ago??? I dont think so. I think you're missing the point here...people are being misled by uscis to think they may get an update/extension in 120 days when thats is not the FACT. What an agency puts in writing they need to honor...period.

No thanks. I dont think i need to compare myself to somepne digging ditches. Isnt that the very misconception we are trying to erase abt illegals? Why do I have to hold myself to such standards? If that really is how you think, maybe you ought to take my advise and explore possibilities in places you can hold yourself to better standards.

A lot of them, specially business, they say stuff then quietly change their policy. In fact, some agency lie to their customer and only honor what they say if you record it
