You were arrested for driving drunk and with a permit, this case isnt looking good for you. As people have said, find a lawyer that can help you not get convicted or at least stall the case enough for DACA to be approved.

Please seek help for your alcoholism if you possible

You are so ******* annoying it drives me up a wall. How do you know he will do it again? The guy made a mistake. He knows he messed up. Leave it at that. No need to make him feel worse.

Go get a lawyer and pray. As for your behavior, I hope you've truly changed. Again, get a lawyer and wish for the best.

Like manimhappy said above, you really can't be this ignorant, can you?

Get of your high horse man, and maybe take a couple composition courses while you're at it.

I've just received an email saying "Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Nebraska Service Center for processing" truly sucks to know I was so close to being accepted! As far as my mistake I am 100 percent aware what I did was unacceptable. And being detained will mark me for life to never drink and drive. I do not need any professional help other than that of a lawyer for my case. I didn't wanna respond to this comment because I wasn't sure if this person was serious. I will keep all updated in my case. Just in case I can help anyone that's in the same position as me and needs help with information.

Hope not. Could've endangered the public "daca man killed a little girl due to dui" I am glad you are mature enough to accept your mistake but discipline goes a long way. Good luck

Since your renewal was just received, once you go do your fingerprints and they receive it they will see the arrest and offense pending. It is a very high possibility that they will either ask you to provide the conviction record/judgement/dismissal for your case before they can proceed with an approval OR they could straight up denied you.

One thing is to renew with a previous arrest and another thing is to renew with a pending charge. Youre on the right track by hiring a crim defense attorney and your best outcome is to plea to a reduce offense.

Good luck.

V. Criminal Convictions

Q60: If I have a conviction for a felony offense, a significant misdemeanor offense, or multiple misdemeanors, can I receive an exercise of prosecutorial discretion under this new process?
A60: No. If you have been convicted of a felony offense, a significant misdemeanor offense, or three or more other misdemeanor offenses not occurring on the same date and not arising out of the same act, omission, or scheme of misconduct, you will not be considered for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) except where the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) determines there are exceptional circumstances.

Q61: What offenses qualify as a felony?
A61: A felony is a federal, state, or local criminal offense punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year.

Q62: What offenses constitute a significant misdemeanor?
A62: For the purposes of this process, a significant misdemeanor is a misdemeanor as defined by federal law (specifically, one for which the maximum term of imprisonment authorized is one year or less but greater than five days) and that meets the following criteria:

Regardless of the sentence imposed, is an offense of domestic violence; sexual abuse or exploitation; burglary; unlawful possession or use of a firearm; drug distribution or trafficking; or, driving under the influence;

http://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/co...sked-questions

the key word here is really conviction, since you were just arrested, its good you have taken the proper procedures to "fix" this. I personally don't know anyone arrested and convicted of a DUI getting DACA, I think there were some rare cases here but I never heard much about them. As I was saying, whether your DACA is renew depends on how this case goes. Once biometric comes, your case of being arrested will show up, then depending on what the outcome is, they will make their decision, again, if you are convicted, not arrested.

You could have killed someone, as much those 2 defenders of you want to cry and be mad at me, what you did was unacceptable. We have enough cases going against DACA than for it.

I seriously can't imagine thinking. "Gosh! you leave OP alone! hes the REAL victim here! So what he was driving under the influence, hes already going through a MUCH harder time!!"

No, you are NOT the victim here, and I really do hope your experience driving intoxicating and arrested really does scar for you life and teaches you to never drink and drive.
