Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh after almost 3weeks on an expired permit I have been renewed today within the past hour....
The agony and fear of denial is finally over....
Dont give up Hope guys the wait should be worth it!!!

Timeline
Received june 12th
biometrics july 11
Expired Oct 2
Renewed Oct 20th

(Btw i was afraid Of denial due to a false arrest, the person I was dating started physicaly abusing me after a long night in vegas, this person had Walked barefoot down the strip and had blood on feet... When cops arrived I refused to testify against anyone and the cops ended up arresting me due to "nevada laws" and the blood on the feet) after a day or two the DA denies My charges and everything was droped... However being behind bars for over 12 hours damaged me Very much......with this nightmare over i will investigate if there is anything i can legally do to get justice served

That might be why is taking so long too, I had to prove with court papers that I wasent who they said I was. They were saying I had drug trafficking charges when they ran my background check.

I have yet to be approved. I read here how several people called USCIS and they mentioned something about a temporary deferred action and work permit, however I have called several times this week and they told me that this only applies if it has been 6 months since the DACA application was received. I've also contacted my congressman to see if they could get information on my case but I have yet to hear back from them. I don't understand how they are processing the renewal applications, my sister and I both sent in the renewals at the same time and had same day biometrics, her original DACA was set to expire 10/28/14 and she was approved 9/26/14. Im so frustrated and feel helpless, it feels surreal to be going throught this whole issue, I guess I took for granted the freedom that we received with DACA and having a work permit. I have a great job that I love, and I worked so hard to get it, I have a appointment with HR this Thursday to discuss my situation. Im sorry for the long post, I just needed to vent with others who would understand what im going through.

Hello all
I'm new here. I'm so happy reading about how many of you have already been approved!
I live in California and I sent in my renewal referral a few weeks ago. I have my biometrics appointment tomorrow but I was just wondering if we had to pay for the biometrics.. Like the first time we applied. I remember that the first time we applied we sent in the biometrics fee with our payment to the uscis ..so I was wondering if we had to pay anything for the biometrics this time around.
Thanks guys! And again congrats to all of you that are already approved.

Hey guys sorry if this has been asked before but I'm kind of freaking out. I just checked my status, still in initial review but says my name was updated on October 22nd. What does that mean?

Really? My lawyer has not been able to work this kind of magic, and he is very good.
