He had a criminal record, plus he took time to resend hes RFE.

As long as you don't have something our applications should take about 3-6months

O ok I was starting to get worried as well. I have a clean record. I hope to get approved very soon. So far I've waited 2 months.

Hello DACA nation. I am a new member and wanted to share my story.

I was born in the Philippines and adopted by US citizens. I went my entire life believing I was a citizen of the US until I applied for a US passport in 2013 and was denied because my adoptive parents never filed a green card petition for me. I did some research and learned that DACA was my only option. Because my situation was a bit different, I hired an Attorney to assist me with the paperwork. I reside in CALI.

Here is my timeline:

07/09/2014 - Attorney mailed my application and relevant documentation through certified mail.

07/11/2014 - The DACA packet was received by the lockbox facility in AZ.

07/21/2014 - Attorney received confirmation of receipt for my application.

08/11/2014 - Received Biometrics appointment letter to appear at the Application Center on 08/19/14 at 11am with form and photo ID

08/19/2014 - Completed Biometrics appointment (fingerprints, photo, signature)

11/03/2014 - Received email from Attorney that my DACA request was APPROVED as of November 3, 2014! The exact turnaround time was 3 months and 23 days.

I should receive the EAD card and official DACA approval paperwork within the next couple of weeks.

Good luck/Buena Suerte/Suwerte

& keep faith. God is good.

Did you ever ask them why they never petitioned you? What was the point of adopting you then? Sorry but this is just mind boggling.

Anyway,
Where was your service center? and what was the receiving date of your application?

has anyone who has contacted the Ombudsman by filling out the form online had any luck with getting there EAD process sped up? Or is it better to go to infopass and attend a meeting? I'm expiring 11/15 and am getting kind of worried like others. Thanks

They wanted a child to hold and cuddle, play dress up and mold their young mind like theirs but not thinking of it's future well being. That's really sad what your adoptive parents did.
