couldnt renew Texas Id.

So I went to renew my license and id and was told they had to verify my documents and to come back after 2 weeks( ill gett something in the mail supposedly?)... Anyone went thru the same experience?

Yea, I went through the same thing. I went this past Friday and they told me they couldn't validate my EAD and that is wasn't in the system. That it takes 15 days to update and to come back con Nov. 2. I went again this Monday (2 days ago) and the lady said to come back on Wednesday (Oct. 29) to see what happens. For the third time i went yesterday and they ran the EAD and told me they "initiated a second verification" and that I would received a letter on the mail. So today when I got off from work, I went straight to the same DPS again; they front desk lady already new my face since I had gone 4 times consecutively. I told them I won't stop coming until I get my license renewed. Only this time when I went to the window, the lady seemed that she knew what was going on. She gave me a temporary permit and said just to wait like 2 weeks to get it on the mail. I was super happy since I really need my license for work.

I renewed mine yesterday no problem. Just the usual process with the fingerprinting and eye test.
