Hi guys.

I need help and would like to hear what were my odds about applying for Advance Parole. I am currently 23 years old I came to the US when I was 8 Years old. I came here illegally from Mexico. I applied for DACA in 2012 I was approved I recently just send my renewal application.

I have a sick grandfather in Mexico who I have not seen in 15 years. It would mean the world to both him and I to be able to see each other before he passes away .

I have read many stories about people applying for Advance Parole and not having any problems upon return to the US. I am really scared to actually take this risk being I have lived in the US pretty much my entire life and I don't know what I would do if i was denied the return. A lot if not all of the stories on here state that it was a smooth pass back to the US.

any help or any word towards AD will truly help

You have a strong case to be approved.I don't think you'll have any problems coming back into the United States. A lot of the stories here on the AP have been success stories. Customs deny people entry if they have inadmissibilities that bar them from coming in; health, criminal, national security, etc. Just by being in the US unlawfully and/or EWI does not constitute a bar from Advance Parole. I would think twice if you had a criminal record However

Hi there!

I have applied for AP for travel twice this year as a DACA recpient. Both times i was approved, and both times I traveled to Europe with no issues. (for work purposes) In your case, you are going to need a letter from your country, best if it was your grandfathers doctor, stating that he is ill. The reason for travel has to be urgent and you have to prove that. Also, the filing fee is $360. Be sure to send them all the info they need so they can process your petition without any issues. I hope this helps!
