Is there a purpose for them sending you two?
Travel with both, but they will only stamp and ask for one.

Just wanted to share my experience with getting a visa. It took me a total of 12 odd hours to submit my visa application. Here's what went down. I followed the consulate's directions and instructions on the page and showed up with all documents and ONLY the Employment Authorization Document. I did not bother to bring in my Deferred Action and AP papers. Sure enough they start questioning me and demand I show them the 797 notices. I literally had to arrange someone back home to scan and e-mail these to the supervisor at the consulate. So moral of the story is, when it comes to relatively new immigration rules like DACA/AP for DACA, do not necessarily go just by the rules because MOST of these other government agencies are not necessarily educated about them. If this consulate was, they would've clearly revised their instructions and asked applicants to bring in 797 notices. But I feel some of the burden of proof lies with us DACA recipients so I take full responsibility for delaying my own visa app. But everything is taken care of now and I'm just waiting for them to approve the visa and I can pick it up in few days time. Just wanted to share this with others in case they go through the same thing. Better be safe than sorry and carry copies of EVERY last item.

Update:
Happy new year everyone! Just a quick update to share my AP experience. I left the United States on Nov 24th, 2014 from New York's JFK Intl Airport and flew directly to New Delhi, India. No problems whatsoever departing obviously. Had the time of my life back home. I got to meet my grandfather after 16 odd years. My cousins and relatives treated me like a king and showed me around. I was scheduled to arrive back to the United States on December 18th, 2014. I had to extend my trip as I decided to go through a major Cornea operation. I was very lucky that my AP was valid till January 15th, 2015. I arrived back to the US this morning, January 9th, 2015. The process was extremely smooth. Went through the visitors line. Presented my passport, 821D approval letter, AP approval letter to the first officer. He then escorted me to a separate room with more officers in front processing papers for everyone. My name was called and I was told that I am all set. Absolutely NO questions were asked. Overall, very successful trip. I got a major surgery done and got to meet my entire family.

Underwent an eye procedure during my first visit there. I am looking to go back for a follow up. I sent sufficient evidence but we'll see. Fingers crossed.
