P.S.- Please don't jump on me in defense. Just sharing my concern. I almost lost my job during the renewal process. This is not funny in corporate America.
How about deporting all undocumented parents who intentionally broke the law to come to the US? I am OK with that since my parents are LPRs.
Don't be selfish.

Good point!
For me, its just me and my sister so I want to say screw the rest of undocumented people. Please pass the Dream Act so we can move on with our lives. I don't care about old people focus only on us!

The bottom line is that life ins't fair. I've said it before, and i'll say it again: no matter what the executive order turns out to be, if any, it's going to leave a ton of people out and there will be people bitching everywhere.

I mean, look at the story of that one dude Jose' Antonio Vargas. If there's anyone that deserves any kind of relief, it's that guy, and DACA was pretty much a big "fuck you" towards him leaving him ineligible.

I strongly believe that the executive order should be laid down under very strict criteria, that focuses only on extreme humanitarian motives and the collective interest of immigrants and american citizens as a whole; not because you want your dad, mom, siblings or whatever other relative to be able to stick with you and you think you deserve it, even if this means it will leave me out completely.

Here's my word of advice for everyone: lower your expectations, and lower them a lot. This way you won't be disappointed if anything is even announced at all.

Your link gives me an access denied page. Even if you are correct about the trend of events, this time we have to consider a relatively big incentive facing Obama, namely his legacy. I believe it to be a relatively big incentive because I don't think he wants to go down as the first black president in history without having done something of significant proportion. We also have the 2016 elections right around the corner. This time, it is well known that the minority vote (including those of Latinos) do in fact have a decisive effect on the election results. I think that that will serve as an incentive for democrats to lend their support on immigration if they want to keep the presidency. These are just two new factors that one needs to consider when looking at changes in the trend of events.

One must also keep in mind that the EO doesn't fit the trend that you point out, just as DACA didn't fit that trend.

Whatever it is, it's NOT going to be an "Executive Order" but it will behave just like one. This President is too effin smart to fall into a trap like this. When people mention "executive order", it makes it seem like the Pres has overreached his power and done something outrageous. What its going to be is extremely similar to DACA, just a direction to DHS to use prosecutorial discretion to defer cases, only thing is its going to be on a massive scale but I don't think it will go down as an executive order. DACA is working like a charm. Logic tells me they will expand on this and keep increasing eligibility.

Let's hope the discretion is systematic and works in our favor. DHS already works on discretion, but such discretion is not in our favor.

This wait time has really been frustrating for a lot of us and some times we can't hold back on expressing ourselves. Let's hope the upcoming announcement includes ALL people who have been here for a significant amount of time. I definitely think its long over due and they will definitely have the capacity to deal with it. That's not our concern. They delayed it. Let them deal with it.

Thanks 2Face. Appreciate you having my back!

I am just getting around to reading the comments. Do not want to acknowledge the ignorance by commenting on it. If they were to loose a job with a big4, they would then understand.

The general point I was making was that they need more resources to ensure timely renewal before any EOs. I was just speaking with my lawyer yesterday about a friend who did not get his EAD renewed on time and was laid off. The job was making over 100K (investment banker). To the point made earlier, this person did apply 120 before the expiration date. So yeah, when the college kids with nothing better to do but BARK here get a REAL job, we can then talk.
