It would suck if parents of DACA kids are not included specially because the ones who have pushed the hardest for this to happen have been DACA people.

They halted the program until they can figure out how to process DACA people.

I feel you, I did the same when I was in grad school. The DACA kids at my school marginalized me.

According to a senior Democrat familiar with the plans, Obama will announce on Thursday that he is providing temporary protections to up to 5 million undocumented immigrants. His orders will make up to 4 million undocumented immigrants eligible for temporary protective status and provide relief to another 1 million through other means.

In a blow to activists advocating on behalf of young immigrant families, there will be no guaranteed protections for the parents of so-called Dreamers — children protected by Obama’s 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program — nor for immigrant agricultural workers, said the Democrat, who was not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.

Here's an article that was published on CNN a few days ago, and it points out some interesting facts:

http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/16/opinio...hable-offense/

Quote from the article:

"When those undocumented college students known as DREAMers first argued for special treatment, the claim was based on the simple idea that they were brought here as children and thus didn't intentionally choose to break the law. Fair enough. But the same thing can't be said of their parents, who did intentionally break the law. Now what? Is there a new argument? Besides, if Obama offers deferred action to parents, it will validate what conservatives have always insisted about how the U.S.-born children of illegal immigrants can be used to keep their parents from being deported."

If they're gonna offer relief to parents of U.S. citizens, then they might as well offer it to parents of DACA beneficiaries, from a humanitarian standpoint. Whether you were born here or brought here as a minor, you probably consider this to be your home just as much anyways. The difference is that offering relief to parents of U.S. citizens probably has more constitutional leverage than offering it to parents of DACA beneficiaries, from a legal standpoint. I'm assuming Obama is trying to watch his own ass too.

Whatever it may be, i just wanna know already. Even though i know there probably isn't anything in that executive order for me, lol.

Either way, that still wouldn't help me, lol. I didn't age out of DACA, my only problem was proving i entered the country at 15 years old, which i did. But my paper trail didn't start until i enrolled in High School and i was already 16 years and 7 months old.

I wish they threw in a clause in there to give relief to people that have been here a long time, like 10 years + at least or something. One can dream, right? lol See what i did there?
BISCUIT brah! Again..what are you saying man!! If you came here truthfully before age 16, you need to fight tooth and nail to get DACA! Have you consulted a lawyer about this? Don't give up too easily because the truth is the truth. I am 100% sure you qualify. And yes, for sure they will be expanding the current DACA.

I did consult a lawyer. I was told that USCIS wants you to prove that you established residence before the age of 16. I entered the country at the age of 15 with a B1/B2 Visa/BCC and i have the 1-94 to prove it, but i don't have anything to prove i established residence until i enrolled in High School, which was in January of 2001. At that point, i was already 16 years and 7 months old.

I was also told that my case may have been particularly affected by the fact that i have multiple recorded entries from the time before i established residence at 16 years old. I traveled into the U.S. frequently, and a lot of times those entries were recorded with an I-94, so that's why it's particularly difficult for USCIS to determine whether it was a brief visit or an actual attempt to stay in the country.

How about immunization records needed for school. I just got my school records and I opted that the school district send all records of me. They sent copies of my immunization records that were dated a few months before I started school. They also sent some placement records dated months before my school start.
