USCIS updated my name?

On November 19, 2014, we updated your name for your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number xxxxxx. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

My EAD expired 3 days ago. I checked USCIS this morning and it said they updated my name even though I never requested any name changes. Anybody else experienced the same problem?

Hard to say but USCIS's website is very inconsistent anyway even before the update.

Yup, I've had that update since September 23. Still waiting on my approval.

Mine said that about 8 days before getting approved.

EAD approved: 12-02-2012.
Renewal sent: 8-4-2014.
Notification received: 8-7-2014. Routed to Nebraska.
Biometrics letter received: 8-22-2014 for 9-5-2014.
New approval: 10-31-2014.

they did that to me. they added my maternal last name this time around, :-/ I've only ever used my paternal last name and was approved that way the first time.

That just happened to me, so I checked out the other one and it said the card was in production.

I hope they didn't add my maternal last name. If they do...would we have to update the name in our SS cards?

i didn't. i just threw the new card in a drawer. hahaha.
