If you have a visa available, then your permanent residency is approved! If you entered w/ a Visa, you can apply for in-country waiver. This has been the case all the time, they are just reiterating it.

Probably, but considering that I-601 and I-601A are the same thing I'll guess that both will be an option. Otherwise they make up some other waiver.

For heaven's sake, people, really? The speech was to speak out to the American public and lay out his reasoning for signing this order. The technical details are to be released by DHS, DOJ. The forms, details, requirements, etc, just like any other immigration program - TPS, DED, DACA - will be released by these agencies.

Come on, focus on getting your documents in order and get ready.

My uncle petition my mum 13 years ago and we got a letter saying that we need to schedule an interview in my country of citizenship. I entered without a visa. So do I need to return to my country for visa interview?

im confused. my parent has i-130 approved (from sibling) and visas are available. but since we came to states in late 2001, we were just a few months shy. the case is still open, we just have to apply. so does this mean we got a waiver?

It's listed here that they will do away with the age cap.

I would do research and wait for details - why would you leave when you have DACA and can interview in-country? As for your mom (the direct beneficiary), why would she risk not being allowed back in by going back to her country of origin?

None of us here, as far as I know, are legally trained. I think the agencies will be amending the waivers and I think they will parole people in some way. Wait for details and then consult an attorney if needed.

Do you have any siblings who were born here?? If you do, then your parent (s) can apply for this new program!
