We can get subsidies. But I have health insurance and dental under United Healthcare

I think OP is fine. He applied to a private insurance and they gave him a discount. It's not like our taxes is paying for OP's bills.

You don't qualify for any of the federal subsidy programs with the exchange. You want to make sure that you are basically not receiving a tax credit on the insurance and that it is only a discount (does that make sense?). It is ok to buy insurance directly with the companies.

This is what they told me and I quote "we wouldn't be able to finish the application if you didn't quilify, we could get fined if we provided wrong information "

And yes it's throught the tax subsidies.

United healthcare. I can give you his direct number. He said there's nothing to worry about and to send him the people that are worried about that.
