You can be DACA approved but not I7xx approved. Mostly likely you submitted evidence in your DACA package that didn't make sense in your work application.

This is the first time actually I've heard of someone being RFE for work permit. Post your work applications here if possible. It would be interesting if your work permit was denied as that wouldbe the first time here . And maybe you could apply for DACA again and see if your work permit applications is approved.

Its best to wait and see what they want. They could just want better explanations

Oh ok now I get it.

In response to Malignon's post,

NO. You do not need a necessity to work. I did not put any income on mine as well as other people that I know. NOPE. Not sure where you got that from. It is not even in the list of requirements you have to meet to apply for DACA.

Anyway,

I guess all you can do now is wait until you get that RFE letter if ever you receive one. My hunch is that they messed up with the update on their website and your EAD card is on the way. When were you approved? I got approved last month (Initial) and my EAD arrived in the mail after 15 days. Some people get it it less than 10 days.

Just to want to clarify again,

You mean to say you were approved and and not accepted right?

Approved means - you got your approval letters stating you are granted daca benefits w/ expiration date on the paper?

Accepted means - uscis got your package and is now processing your case

Which one ?

It was Approved Migz, he has the DACA approved. The RFE is for EAD card.

Ok here is what you do. Wait for that RFE letter then send it back along with your Approval letter.
This has gotta be a big mistake from them.

Hang in there !! I know firsthand how this feels i've had a similar experience with RFEs.

i know this might be a long shot, but maybe, since they moved my case from nebraska to cali, one of the 2 forms could have been lost in the process or something is what i am thinking. long shot, but who knows.

To Determine Your Eligibility to Work , You must Establish Economic Necessity. USCIS will consider whether you have an Economic Need to Work by Reviewing your current Annual Income, Expenses, and Assets filled out on form I-765WS
USCIS Instructions for I-765, F. DACA #1A

He/she needs to prove that they need work authorization by proving that they have an economic reason for working. Thats why we filled out I-765. I don't know what you're talking about.
