Hello fellow dreamers, quick story about me. I graduated out of paramedic school in September. While in school I had to do a lot of clinical work at hospitals and ride with the local fire department 24 hour shifts every 3rd day from June through the end of September . I was very busy and reapplying for Daca and my work permit totally slipped my mind. I know I should've done this sooner rather than later, but now I cant do nothing to go back. My Daca/permit expired on 11/27/14 and I applied for renewal 9/5/14. Once again I know this is all my fault, and I should've applied sooner, I was just so focused on school and with no time. Anyway, I had this awesome work opportunity and I went for the interview on 12/03/14 knowing it would be a long shot to get the job, however I nailed the interview and they're very interested in me. They said I should be expecting a call sometime mid-end december. I still haven't received my renewal and I'm worrying I won't be able to get the job. Has anyone experienced this? I guess I'm just looking for some consolation knowing I might not get my permit in time to apply to this awesome opportunity. Anyway, hope you share your experience or opinion. Thank you in advance. God bless.

I'm in the same boat as you actually..
I got an internship offer for the spring semester but my work permit expires January 21st.. I know there's still more than a month left but I applied mine on October 30th (which is late...).I'm scared they won't hire me because my work permit expires so soon... and they're one of the companies who say NO to sponsorship so they're most likely to reject me if I say my EAD expires in a month even if my EAD arrives on time...

I'm in somewhat the same boat. Im going to school to be a paramedic but I'm going to stop at basic emt (I make more than some paramedics in my area) and instead going to do RN. My EAD expired in November 13th and still haven't been approved.
