But... just to give hopes to those who have been waiting long like me, I wanted to share my timeline as well.

Accepted 7/24/14

Biometrics 8/18 /14

Approval 12/5/14

it took me almost five months in total. My original expired on 12/4 but my renewal got approved the day after. It may cut it close, or even pass your original expiration date, but it will get approved not too long after your expiration date.

Good luck to all!
It's been a month since mine expired. They don't give a shit if they expire or not

Called the USCIS but this time I used the Spanish option. They were a lot more helpful and they put a priority on my case based on the information I provided. They said in 5 days I should receive an answer.

I am so glad to hear this. Good luck to you. I hope you get it soon. I will give that a shot and called them as well

Has your card been shipped or does it still say "ordered to be produced"?

I'm in the same boat that you were. The English representatives acted like they didn't give a shit. And when I asked to be transferred to a higher officer they denied it. So I decided to call in Spanish instead. The lady was very understanding. My company told me that if I didn't show my new EAD by this Friday, not show up Monday. I told the Spanish officer that. And she said she was expediting my cash due to a financial hardship and she gave me a confirmation number. She said that in 5 days I should have an answer. Basically the same you did but my EAD expired last month on the 13th.

When I called USCIS to expedite my case the level 2 rep completed the request but a few days later I received a letter saying there's no expedite processing for DACA. I had letters from my HR and my manager but it was still denied. Many of us have had the same outcome so I'm not sure if it actually helps or others who do the same just happen to get approved around that time. I think ombudsman, congress representatives and NILC help a little more.

Ombudsman doesn't help. They basically forward your messages to the USCIS.

Not to be negative, but I did the same thing and got the denial letter even though it was for medical reasons. I think they just read you a script to get you off the phone. I filed Ombudsman-- lets see. Anyone have luck with NILC? I think I will try them next.
