I think the anger at Obama is misplaced and if it comes from those who are enjoying DACA already, it's hypocritical and dishonest.

A New York Times analysis of internal government records shows that since President Obama took office, two-thirds of the nearly two million deportation cases involve people who had committed minor infractions, including traffic violations, or had no criminal record at all.

Remember when Clinton took office and made the immigration system worse for us?

If you hate it here so much even with a work permit, what are you still doing here? DACA is a reattached arm that's in rehab and getting better every day. I don't know how long you were without documents before getting DACA, but it doesn't seem like you really know of the horrible life you were spared of. I don't think you (or any of the other young DACA people chastising the President saying "it's not enough!" ) have ever faced absolute hopelessness or else you'd realize how big of a gift DACA is. I've been to some dark places and made it out without doing something bad to myself and I can tell you this is not just a band-aid.

So we know that deportations were very high during the Bush years and in fact had been rising steadily from even the Clinton years. Any dispute here? I can tell you from experience that in the Bush years, things were down right scary. But let's look at the numbers with your own chart:

Out of these roughly 400,000 people deported annually, it looks like half were caught at the border and the number of deportations from the border kept increasing while deportations within the US in 2013 was only about 1/3 of ALL the deportations. That is a GREAT trend unless you're for open borders. It shows that people are being caught at the border and we all know that before CIR is passed, these numbers will matter.

The question is, out of the 1/3 who were deported in 2013 from INSIDE the country (ones caught at the border don't count), how many of them had committed crimes. The third graph seems to lump everybody together so the "no offense/minor infraction" could very well also apply to the fence jumper who was caught at the border but had not committed any crimes. I still contend that out of the 1/3 of the people deported in recent years from within the country, most of them either committed serious crimes, or did something stupid to get arrested and put themselves in the cross hairs. Either way, if you don't count people caught at the border, we are better off than under Bush.

So now, where is the graph about all the undocumented people who got work permits under Obama and under Bush and Clinton?

And these people crying how DACA isnt enough and this band aid isnt fixing the problem its whats driving the other side, you know, the side that can vote, to lure away from an immigration solution. It takes one bad apple to make the rest of us look bad and if they see how we are crying how DACA isnt enough, whats their motivation to actually do something about that? So DACA isnt enough, is there something better waiting for you back in w/e third world country your parents escaped from? Because I am sure there isnt anything back where I am from and even with my experience and education, I would much rather immigration to a different country than my own. Coincidentally, these same people the ones who didn't know they were illegal until their adult age, how can one person understand the hardships illegal aliens went through when they themselves just barely became aware of the issue( after all, they JUST found out they were here illegal) but yet are crying how the "band aid" isnt enough for them?

I just said that there is WAY more that COULD be done that ISN'T, and I am talking about executive actions only. CIR is dead and he got fucked by republicans like a 3 dollar hooker.

I am honestly tired of glorifying a president that wakes up come election season and pays us lip service all the other time by repeating the same script on univision ever couple months. If it wasn't for DACA I'm sure he'd be out of job by now.

I wasn't around back then but Clinton is an asshole. He royally screwed the US immigration system and honestly it's regrettable the republishits didn't impeach him.
