I was approved for my renewal in August (I think), but now I hear that we can renew again for an additional year for a total of 3 years? Apparently, we can renew 90 days after the Obama's official statement on November 20. If so, do we just send the applications and no proof? Can you guys get me up to date on all this? Am i missing any important information?

Thanks.

Three year DACA applies for applicants who had their cases pending on and after the President's announcement. So, if you were approved before Nov 20th, you will not have the 3 year DACA until it is time for you to renew again.

USCIS is trying to fix this, so people approved before can get extensions. But right now there isn't anything.

I think Malington has phrased it all awkwardly. I think what he was going to say that anyone approved on or after Nov 24th gets the 3 years.

Fixed it. Here's the direct quote from the USCIS website.

Quote:
A9: The new three-year work authorization timeframe will be applied for applications currently pending and those received after the President’s announcement. Work authorizations already issued for a two-year period under the current guidelines will continue to be valid through the validity period indicated on the card. USCIS is exploring means to extend previously issued two-year work authorization renewals to the new three-year period.

There we go - 3 is enough for some of us to adjust their status or at least figure out what to do after. We can't expect the government to find us a solution here

I just had my biometrics taken on dec 16, man i hope i get approved fast. My dl and ead expire on january 20 2015. Little of topic here.... Quick update , i got approved for both forms fast, thank you jesus.....on Dec 24. Might get the actual card this saturday maybe... Honestly, renewal proccess was faster than applying for deffered action and work permit for the first time.
