Prof88 that's so unfortunate, I would be very upset. I've had two reps tell me the timeframe for renewal is 4 months just like their website says. Yet they contradict themselves by saying that it's within normal processing time if you are over for months, doesn't make any sense.

I just got my post grad job and would hate to lose it 2 weeks into it. HR and my Manager are very understanding of it though, so if they don't extend my daca and ead or renew me by the 30th, I don't think I'll be fired but more so on a leave of absence I hope. They've invested a lot in getting me so I hope they're not quick to just drop me

I"ll keep you guys posted on what I get from my appointment tomorrow morning.

The thing about it is that i dont think some of them USCIS employees care, for instance take me for an example, i expired on 12/10/14, i kept bugging them since the last week of November and what do you know, i get hit with an RFE on 12/9/14, why, well lets see, in the renewal app instructions it said, do not submit any previous docs that we already had, (court dispositions and all that bs) so i did not submit that because it was a juvenile case and they already had all that info from the beggining 2 years ago on my first app) but did the officer read their own instructions.......no of course not.....they hit me with the RFE asking for those docs that they should have.........but this time i dont feel like bugging them and telling them that, because he can just be a dic* and deny me, and we cant fight a denial, we can resubmit but yea right, wait another 6 months, nope, now im just patiently waiting...........

i tell ya, some dont care.....

USCIS no longer issues extensions years ago, maybe 5-10 years because of extension fraud.

Those reps you talk to over the phone will say anything for you to get off their backs.

I had my fair share of experience with them.

Was told the same thing and went to my local office but they couldnt do anything for me.

Sorry to disappoint

Just got back from my infopass. I told the lady how several reps from the customer service line told me I could get help and she explained how they don't do extensions (i kind of already expected that). However, she was really helpful and said she could get my case expedited, which is funny cause the customer service line says they don't do such a thing. Nevertheless, she said I should get an answer in 5 days and if not to call in with the receipt number she gave me. So I'll keep you posted if something does happen by the 29th.

At least she was able to do something. I want to try to do the same. I have nothing to lose. Do you mind walking me through as to how should I make an appt.? online or through customer service? etc.
Thank you.

It was a simple online Infopass appointment. I walked in and asked for the extension and mentioned that several reps on the phone told me that going there is how I could get one. However, that's not true and she told me. I explained my job situation and expiration on the 30th and asked if there was anythinggg she could do to help me. She said she understood and did some clicking and typing away then told me she submitted a request to expedite my case. It was pretty easy I'd say. It took me no more than 20 minutes to walk in and out of there. She was the only worker there too so maybe she felt nice. I know I read somebody else post about how they got an expedite request in a similar way to how I just got mine and that they were approved the next day. Now I doubt mine will be tomorrow because it's Christmas, but I'm hoping for the 29th at least. I'd say get on it now if you have until mid January, just so you're sure. I'd start with speaking to a level 2 rep and seeing what they can do.

My case has been 4 months since it was received today. I called them and they said it still under normal processing times. I told them that the website shows 3.5 months and the lady said that's aver and that I have to give them another 30 days. I asked for a level 2 rep and she said they can't transfer to anybody today, that I would have to call Monday. The USCIS reps are all a bunch of assholes that don't give a crap about people's situation.

My application was received on August 26 as well, forwarded to Texas service center. My expiration date is January 2, 2015, and so far, nothing.

I spoke with customer service reps to put a service request on my application. According to their website, TSC has a 3.5 month normal processing time, however, they cannot put a service request because I am still in the normal processing time frame (even though I am outside their 3.5 month window). It makes no sense but that is all I can get from them.

Also, they informed me that TSC is working on applications that were received 36 days before my date.

Hey everybody, so I made an account on USCIS to follow my receipt #'s easier instead of putting in my numbers every time. Under my I-765 I noticed 2 notes based on the 2 requests put in on my behalf.

1. Under case history it says this.
12/24/2014

On December 24, 2014, your request to have your Employment Authorization Document resent to you, referral number XXXXXXXXX, was assigned to an officer for response.

I called on the 23rd and I believe this was from talking to a level 2 rep who said he'd put in a request to get an extension on my EAD or for someone to look at my case but not 'expedite' it.

2. Under next steps i saw this.

As of December 24, 2014, your request to have your case expedited, referral number XXXXXXXXX, is currently not assigned for processing.

This I'm pretty sure was in regards to my info pass appointment I had on the 24th. Where the officer put in a request to expedite and said by the 29th I would hear back.

Just thought I'd share this info with some of you.
