Did you get a text first saying that it was approved or did you just check your status online and saw the change?

I got texts and emails for both, DACA and the EAD. They all came in at once.

what ended happening with your job at the school you were teaching? I remember reading about it.

I was so nervous cuz renewal got sent there but I was approved a month after my bio app. There is just no rhyme or reason to this it's seriously a crap shoot...

Fucking Nebraska is approving people that sent their app way after me. That pisses me off from them.

My original app was sent to WAC.
I got the notification text two days ago, no letters yet and I can not see my case online. I think this happened the first time around, too. I want to say I had to wait until I got my bio letter to see it online.

I think it really is a case by case basis. Also I think it has to do with the officer that has your case. It can be going to someone who works hard and is always meeting his deadline or whatever or it can be going to a messy, slowpoke worker. I hate to think about it that way but lets get real, being an immigration officer is just a job. I heard two people on the bus talking about how the do their work in the homeland security office in my city and they were just like you and I. So, yeah it sucks but we just don't know what really happens. Also, if your name triggers certain security flags they need to prove that you are not a threat, meaning they need to spy on your info... so... there you go.

I'm approved! finally. It says I was approved on the 21st. I did contact my congressman but I faxed the consent form on the 20th, don't know if he pulled some strings cuz that was darn fast. My stats are below:

Received: Sept 8
Biometrics: Sept 26
Expired: Jan 3
Approved: Jan 21st

Congrats to everyone who got approved.

Some of you will resent me but I just got approved today. I checked my case status and it said

" On January 23, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number LIN********, and will mail it to the address you gave us."

It took 27 days for me to be approved. I am so happy since I had already expired on 10/25/14
