  • Also total current value of my assists? my parents bought me everything, so my assets is what they bought me? clothes, computer, bed sheets? chair, decoration?
I put $0 for my assets on my initial application. Don't fret over it. If you want to put the total current value of your items, then do that. But honestly, that is not very important.

As far as your expenses, you have to contribute to the household right? Explain on the worksheet that you live at home. However, you contribute to the household expenses and put a figure on it.

For example: Rent + utilities + gas + cable/internet + etc / number of working adults in your home = the sum of your contribution)

Are you going back to college or are currently enrolled? If so, then explain that. Do you need to pay off a student loan? Then explain that to them. If you need more help with the WS pm me.

Hey,

You need to search around your area and find a non profit workshop. The Mexican Consulate in Sacramento has one every Tuesday. NILC, some churches and other organizations also held workshops to educate people about the deferred actions and how to fill the paperwork. In the worst case scenario you will need an immigration lawyer. Do not go to a notario or some of those shady joints where they fill your papers for cheap. I know is a stupid advice because everyone knows not to go there but it never hurts to remind. Finally, are you a member of a club or a church? Does your family have a good friend from many years who knows you well and is willing to write a letter for you? If you go to church every Saturday and/or are member of a committee I bet the priest/pastor will be more than willing to write a letter letting them know that you're a member of that community. A friend used a letter from her godparents from her first communion, high school teachers and and community leaders to get her papers because she was a homemaker with no records other than her GED. Hope this helps out.

  • I don't contribute for paying anything at all, i just want to be able to help my parents with our bills ( supporting myself, etc. )
  • I do plan on going back to a community college, but that's probably going to require a student VISA.
  • How do i prove that i have No income, i don't work since i don't have papers?
  • How do i prove that my annual expenses are what they are especially since i don't pay for any of it?

We don't go to church, we have no friends, and we're not part of any community, we just hang out with ourselves. My parents are able to pay for everything for me currently that they can afford/affordable since we all live together ( Rent, food etc ).

Can my parents write the letter?

I don't want them to get into trouble for helping me.

Ha, believe it or not, I only come here around once per week but...I have some heavy duty thing to do and looking for ways to NOT do it.

Anyway, well, my friend, you need to lawyer up. Most of the people in this forum are individuals who are in the know but for specific issues, you need the advice of a lawyer.

Nilc has some basic information about DACA and DAPA, see what you have and what you do not have and go on from there.

http://nilc.org/toptenwaystoprep.html

Here is a site also from NILC that will send you to a local organization to ask for help.
http://www.immigrationlawhelp.org/

We can tell you do this or that but in the end, we are folks on computers I might know a lot or maybe I am a 13 year old pretending to know shit. And yes, it is expensive and cumbersome to ask for qualified legal advice but in the end, you pay what you get. Heck, my brother is an educated man and he still went to two public workshops AND a $250 consultation before filling or sending any paper.

Whatever you do, fight it really hard and only give up until a couple of trusted sources tell you to give up.

The link that I posted from NILC has all the information that you need. If you cannot find the information in that web site, the other link will send you to a local organization that will either have the information or will recommend a good immigration lawyer that will answer all your questions. Most of the people in this site are very generous with their time and knowledge, however, as a good guideline, we should only reply to general questions in general terms because the wrong information is worst than no information at all.

You know, I did not qualify for the first DACA and I went to workshops and consulted a couple of lawyers before deciding not to apply. It might sound like a stupid waste but I rather spend time, money and effort for the best information than to miss an opportunity due to fear and ignorance. A lot of people are in your shoes. The Mexican consulate was filled with very humble people who do not speak English and/or use a computer but they compensate with their willingness to get their shit done. Some times that is not enough but there no other choice than to get up and start all over again.

I was wondering the same thing. Does anyone know when we'll have the updated form for the expanded DACA?
