So I am trying to do my taxes on turbotax. And I was looking to claim my brother as a dependent. He lives with me all year and I pay rent and help him with school. He has deferred action. For the dependent question what should I put? u.s resident? Even though he has deferred action
For purposes of taxes, he's considered a U.S Resident. That information is on the IRS website.
