DACA approved but also qualify for DAPA. Which one is better?

I haven't seen any threads about this object. But what if you qualify for both DACA and DAPA? What would you be better off applying for? I submitted my renewal for my DACA permit in November still waiting on approval. But now with the new expansion on the qualified DACA applicants, my husband falls into both.

Want to see if anyone knows anything on that.

Personally I feel that DACA is better because it's an older policy change that wasn't being vilified as much by the republicans than the newer policy recommendations like DAPA. I get the feeling that if God forbid a republican wins the white house in 2016, they'd be more inclined to rescind the newer presidential orders than DACA. This is all just my opinion, so obviously for all we know both deferred actions will never be muddled with by a future president. I believe both offer 3 year work permits so you should be fine going either way. Best of luck

Even if some evil Republican scheme manages to overthrow DAPA, it is likely DACA will stay as a compromise. All I am saying is that DACA could arguably be a safer option.

DACA is better. If they ever try to repeal one, it will be DAPA, you can tell because two weeks ago, all republicans voted against DAPA in the DHS funds ammendment, they also held another vote to do the same thing with DACA, and 17 republicans opposed it. This means that DAPA is most hated than DACA

DACA, duh. If for no other reason that the application process starts a half a year earlier. Also, the burden of proof of residency in the US is the same for both cases except with DAPA, you'll have the additional job of submitting birth certificates of your kids, etc.

there's predictions that dapa will be a pain to wait for. too many applicants not enough people to go through them in a decent amount of time.

They're opening a new Service Center in Arlington, VA just to process DAPA applications.
