I'm at 5 months today for a renewal. I'm 09-15--14 you probably won't hear nothing for like 1.5 months my friend. Sorry to give you the news but they are so slow. Hopefully they don't shut down either since congress has not pass a funding bill. Imagine they will be behind even more.

This is the worst waiting game, first time around we could have just hoped to be approved, now our approval is expiring soon and it's like walking headless through a maze. The process should have been faster. I'm at risk of loosing a really great job with benefits and a promotion coming soon. -_-

I think we just have to admit that the process is going to take a while no matter what. I'm lucky to have a little bit of money saved up (honestly, it would last me about 2 months) to get me through in case I lose my job. Anything after that... I'm screwed.

Has anybody spoken with their employer to see if there is any kind of solution? I'm employed by my Cal State University. Spoke with my boss and the best she could do was email someone from payroll to see if that person knows of anything we can do. Man, what a crappy situation.

Edit: I was just viewing this document: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/f...i-765instr.pdf

I have attached the following screenshots about the Interim EAD information. This could be our only hope.

I want to point out this statement that was taking from the processing time Web page from uscis
" Please note that the 90-day period for adjudicating Form I-765 category (c)(33) filed together with Form I-821D, requesting deferred action for childhood arrivals, does not begin until we have made a decision on your request for deferred action."

I think we all misunderstood the three month processing time. Rather i think three months is to process the i765 once your i82d is approved.

Thoughts?

I set up an appointment with my local USCIS field office for March 2nd for an Interim EAD. Set up the appointment through InfoPass. Wish me luck. Will report back.

I wish you luck but they told me they can't do nothing for you since it's Daca related.
