Hi all,

I just wanted to vent for a bit. Basically I am in danger of losing my job since my DACA expires in March and I submitted renewal in January. I could not renew earlier because I fell ill for three months... I was going through depression. HR basically said I would be terminated if I cannot provide an unexpired card before the 25th. Renewals can take between 4 and 5 months from what I have been told.

I also lost faith in God. I am godless now so that doesn't help either. I also have very little money so I will end up losing the car and unable to pay off bills. Life sucks, doesn't it? I do have a supportive family so I guess it will not be the end of the world if my car gets repossessed and my credit score plummets. Not like I was planning to buy a house anyway...

I want to have hope again but I feel that my life got weird the day after I was taken in by border patrol the day after college graduation in 2008. Ever since I have been riding a roller coaster that ended back in July after the love of my life ended our relationship and since then I have been alone and things got worse for me. I guess that this is life and I should be patient, right?

ABADDON!!!!!! Glad to see you around.

Just when you think life has gotten a little better, you get thrown a curb ball.

Listen, your card hasn't expired yet. So, don't throw in the towel. I submitted mine in October and received the renewal in December. Just hope that it's that quick for you.

Well, if losing your job for one or two months is the worst case then and after that you'll have 2 (maybe 3) good years of being among the legal (sort of) life isn't that bad is it?

Keep up hope! We are here and we are breathing. The rest always works itself out. Maybe it will lead to a better job. Like they say one door closes and another opens. Your credit you can fix. Maybe come up with a plan so you have some money gathered to keep you afloat. Pre-daca money skills.

Yeah uhm I was going through a weird phase. I woke up to the reality of things which can really only be perceived by our senses, though even our senses can deceive us at times. Like when I fell in love, haha. Where were my senses then?

I really like Kathryn Schultz's quote in my signature. Basically the world as we see it, isn't really how things are. So when it comes to religion, our understanding of how things work according to one belief system does not make it reality necessarily. It's quite the opposite.

It's been a while since I've check this site but this is worth an appearance.
Seems like life is kicking you in the nuts repeatedly, I could relate. Just do what you can and find time to enjoy the good moments in life, you know the ones when you can smile and laugh, even if brief.
As for the religious stage I'm glad you didn't go hellbent on it. No shame in realizing something wasn't for you, it's all a learning experience that help us find ourselves.
Whenever I'm at my lowest I just sit in silence doing nothing for a while. I've learned to not let that time go to waste and snap out of it when I catch myself doing it. Moving forward is always better, even when it seems hard to do it with a positive attitude.

None of us have walked down the particular road you are on but we've been on ones parallel to it. What I've found out when I've been up against it is that you always have at least two decisions to choose from; give up or carry on. You're young, you'll carry on and you'll get where you want to be.
