So I have have already done my biometrics (last month) and my work permit expires March 21. Yea I know I waited a little bit late to submit my documents but i didn't have the money at that time. Anyway, I know I have to wait a couple of months no big deal BUT I'm starting a new job at this restaurant next week, and I'm worried that they're going to be upset if they know my work permit expires in a little over a month. What should I tell them that my new one is coming soon or? I know it's ridicilous to overthink things but this place is very difficult to get a job at heck I'm lucky I got the job on the first interview (they always have you do 3 interviews). What should I tell them about my work permit (I'm suppose to bring my work permit etc next week before training starts). I know I'm overthinking and I know is my fault for waiting to long to apply for my DACA renewal.

Talk to them. Explain the situation, As long as it's in progress than they most likely wont care.

I hope so because I don't get the 401k or insurance they didn't do background check or anything, and I did tell the manager that it's being processed because he saw it expired this month! Idk if they would fire me or idk I'm so scared I can't afford not having a job

I know your frustration. My DACA is expiring on March 25th and HR is already asking me to turn my new work permit in :/. I applied late December and went to biometrics on January 23rd...
