Hello! Finally fixed my Ewi with AP and I was wondering what documents I now have to do in order to adjust status.I have been Married to my wife since 2011 but we currently live at my wife's mothers house because her mother is physically disabled. We pay a modest amount but don't really have anything under our name besides our phone bill.

You have to take a medical exam correct? How do you know if you need a sponsor and how much without a lawyer will this cost?

Any input from fellow dreamers would be appreciated.

Yume

The affidavit of support is required for all green card apps. They will need to know that your spouse and/or someone else make enough to support you. Medical exam is also required, you'll need to visit a civil surgeon, they're basically everywhere you can search for them using USCIS civil surgeon locator. Lawyers typically will ask $1,000 or more for green card apps; there are some that offer for less, but a quality one is more than $1K (but not always). Research, make sure they're registered, etc.

Wait times vary. They're really quick with those apps comparable to DACA speed

Have you submitted the application? If so, what documents and forms did you submit?

You can find more info here. You need to file forms I-130 & I-485. With a lawyer, app fees and medical exams we paid about $1,700 (very much worth it).. I would recommend getting other things under both names such as insurance, bank accounts, utility bills and stuff like that. We also used over 70 pictures of us throughout the 8 years of our relationship as proof (we had only been married for 8 months when I petitioned her). Our processing time was very quick. Our lawyer submitted the petition in December 2013, in mid-January we got a letter in the mail with our interview date which was scheduled for the last week of February. After our interview, the officer told us that the petition had to be reviewed and that we would be notified in 2-3 weeks if it would be approved. After 2 weeks, her green card arrived in the mail. I don't know if processing times have gotten longer in the last year and a half, but ours only took 2-3 months.

Were you paroled in using AP? If so, by the time you applied, was your paroled in until date valid or expired? Thanks for the detailed explanation above.
