Can we get Hazmat certification?

I am getting into the trucking business and would like to get a hazmat endorsement, but it requires a tsa background check. I looked through the eligibility but only see TPS, no mention of DACA. I have googled it and cant seem to find any information. I was wondering if anybody has gotten a hazmat endorsement successfully and what immigration status did you put? PS I live in California.

Unfortunately you have to be a U.S citizen or permanent resident to be able to get your HazMat endorsement. I was offered a job that required HazMat endorsement on your CDL. When I showed up to do my fingerprints for the TSA they asked me for proof of citizenship and gave them my EAD, the lady told me they don't accept that document[, only U.S citizenship or permanent resident or being a refugee. This applies to any state since it has to do with DOT. I also did Googled it but found no information on it. Had to find out the hard way.

I still work for the environmental company but just cant drive for them.
