Just curious if any professionals out there have successfully gotten a gvt or state job?

If so was the union a problem at all? Was it brought up during the interview?

I don't work for the government, but since I just got my DACA I really want to find employment and was wondering the same question.

You can work for local counties but not for the federal government

I know that you can't work for the government. I think you have to born in US.

Most government jobs require you to be a US Citizen... I saw a few ads for employment and that's one of their requirements.

I work a government job (city) and I've never had any issues with my union. It was never brought up into the interview and after I was hired I was given a packet by my union steward so that my dues covered my membership.
