Sorry if this is a stupid question...but do we have to go to the social security office after we receive our new EAD like we did the first time we applied?

Just so everyone knows, the renewal is for 2 years. Hope you all get approved ASAP. Please feel free to ask for help or any questions. I was going through severe depression because of the anxiety of my ead expiring. I have the most amazing job and I support my family with it. It's a very scary thought thinking that you may not be able to provide for them. GOD BLESS US ALL.

Thanks for the info , I received the card today, and like they said its only for two years. I was hopeful it was going to be three since I was told that but oh well I'm happy I got it.

I got approved this morning!

timeline:

Renewal sent: 1/5/2015
Renewal Received: 1/6/2015
Biometrics completed: 2/4/2015
Expiration Date: 5/13/2015
Renewal Approved: 4/20/2015

I had requested USCIS to expedite my case as well as emailed the Ombudsman about it. Both requests got rejected last Wednesday I was approved 4-5 days later.

What did they say when the Ombudsman rejected you?

Basically said this: "While we understand your concern with the processing of your DACA renewal application, we are unable to move forward with an inquiry on your case with USCIS until it has been pending for more than 105 days."

Since my request was pending for less than 105 days at that time, I was told to wait until it's been 105 days and then file a request again. However, my DACA got renewed in 104 days.
